The Board of Directors of Union Pacific Corporation (NYSE: UNP) have approved the Company’s 2017 capital plan of approximately $3.1 billion, down about $400 million versus 2016. The plan includes $300 million to further implement Positive Train Control.

The Board also declared a quarterly dividend of 60.5 cents per share on the company’s common stock, payable March 31, 2017, to shareholders of record February 28, 2017.

Union Pacific has paid dividends on its common stock for 118 consecutive years.
