Two Oklahoma State Representatives will co-host a hearing on September 6 at the State Capitol in Oklahoma City to discuss re-starting passenger rail service between OKC and Tulsa. The hearing will be held September 6, 2017 at 9:00 AM, room 512A to review progress. The public is encouraged to attend.

Passenger Rail Oklahoma, a grass-roots organization, has been pushing for restoration of the Eastern Flyer service between Oklahoma's two largest cities. There has been no passenger rail service on this route for over a half century. The two cities would need to work with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the host railroad Stillwater Central and both BNSF Railway and Union Pacific Railroad for access to stations at either end.
