If you're a business or industry looking for immediate development in a rail-served site in Texas, BNSF Railway has just added a third park to its state roster.
As part of BNSF's Premier Parks, Sites and Transload program a new 103 acre industrial property in Somerville, Texas is now ready for occupancy with direct rail service
In a statement the company said that the goal of BNSF’s is to “provide an inventory of rail-served sites that are available for immediate development,” which allows the railroad to address “increasing demand.” The Premier Parks sites must meet environmental and geotechnical standards, have readily available utilities, site availability, and existing and projected infrastructure.
The Somerville Industrial (Somerville, Texas) site has no zoning requirements or restrictions. It is located east of State Highway 36 and 20 miles outside Bryan-College Station in Central Texas. All Certified Sites offer the convenience of direct rail service.
BNSF’s Premier Parks, Sites and Transload program is a strategic approach that addresses the increasing demand for customer site locations by developing various types of facilities across BNSF’s network. Businesses looking to locate at any of these properties could save six to nine months of construction time as a result of this analysis. BNSF Certified Sites are reviewed by an industry expert in order to ensure accurate, reliable data. The goal of the program is to provide an inventory of rail-served sites that are available for immediate development.
Details for all 29 BNSF Certified Sites around the country, including two other Texas properties at Temple and Gainesville, are available at bnsf.com/rail-development.
