December 15, 2020 - TRA Newswire - BNSF Railway has named a Gainesville Texas development one of its Certified Sites, cutting construction time for new rail-served businesses by an average six to nine months.

Gateway Industrial Park in Gainesville is located near I-35 on the BNSF Fort Worth/Red Rock Subdivision and has 126 acres ready for development of rail-served industrials.

BNSF considers Certified Sites based on environmental and geotechnical standards, available utilities, site availability and existing and projected infrastructure.

The Gainesville Economic Development agency touts Gateway Industrial Park as having shovel ready sites with city utilities. The EDC offers job creation grants, training grants, sales tax rebates, tax incentives and triple freeport tax exemptions for industries building at the new site.

Gainesville is located 60 miles north of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. Over 20% of the population is already employed in manufacturing.

BNSF also announced Certified sites in New Century, Kansas and Joplin, Missouri.
