Light rail projects in both Dallas and Houston are pushing a few more miles into new neighborhoods bringing riders closer to a convenient ride. In Dallas, the Blue Line that used to terminate at Ledbetter will push three more miles south starting next week to the UNT-Dallas campus. In Houston, the delayed Green line build out appears to be on the horizon. Houston Metro had been plagued by construction starts and stops on the Harrisburg overpass section of the project.
