Passenger rail ridership to Fort Worth increased more than 14% in 2024 as Amtrak set a historic record for its national service.
Two Amtrak trains — the Texas Eagle and the Heartland Flyer — chug into Cowtown daily, connecting the city with rail stations throughout Texas as well as Oklahoma City.
In 2024, 123,584 passengers visited Fort Worth compared to 107,566 in 2023, an Amtrak spokesperson told the Fort Worth Report.
The Fort Worth ridership growth comes as Amtrak set an all-time record of 32.8 million customer trips, a 15% increase over 2023. Ticket revenue nationwide hit $2.5 billion, another first for Amtrak that reflects a 9% increase over last year.
