March 23, 2026 - TRA Newswire -
Come out to the Dallas Great Train Show Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 and visit with Texas Rail Advocates to learn how we are helping to support more trains to more places for more people and to move more goods by rail.
TRA will have a booth set up the Great Train Show at Market Hall in Dallas and volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions about aspects of passenger rail travel in Texas and how we are working to move freight off of highways and onto rail lines. It's part of TRA's community outreach to make more people aware of what a growing state like Texas needs for future transportation options and to keep our state economy strong.
We will be drawing for a complementary registration for the 2026 Southwestern Rail Conference, May 18-19 at the Hurst Texas Conference Center. It's a $299 value for the two-day event that brings together the public and private sector to discuss important rail issues.
Come talk with us about being a Texas Rail Advocates booster. Volunteer a couple of hours a month with your time and your talent – either remotely or in person. We’re the largest grass-roots non-profit organization in Texas and the Southwest that focuses on rail transportation issues.
The Great Train Show is billed as the best train show in the country for model railroaders and collectors. There will be operating model train displays, representatives from major manufacturers will demonstrate new products and new, used and collectable trains will be available for sale.
