The first annual Rio Grande Valley International Rail Conference will be held January 30 and 31st the Mission Event Center in Mission, Texas.

Supporters for rail projects in the RGV will show proposals for new freight and passenger rail services on both sides of the border in the Valley. Both commuter/regional rail within the RGV and high speed rail connecting the valley with Monterrey, Houston and San Antonio are envisioned.

Scheduled presentations include TxDOT, Canadian Pacific Kansas City de Mexico, Port of Mansfield Project, Texas Rail Advocates and Rio Grande Valley High Speed Rail project. Guest dinner speaker is Mayor Adrian de la Garza, Monterrey Mexico.
