300 attendees will get a front-row seat to hear freight and passenger rail experts discuss important issues of the day Thursday and Friday at the 18th Annual Southwestern Rail Conference in Dallas. As of this past week the conference reached capacity and had to turn away last-minute requests to attend.

Presenters at the rail conference will include Allison Ishahara Fultz, Chief Counsel for the Federal Railroad Administration, Texas Department of Transportation Rail Division Director Jeff Davis, DART Executive Vice President Dee Leggett and Ray Lang, Vice-President of State Supported Passenger Rail Services for Amtrak.

Congressman Colin Allred will brief attendees on House Transportation issues and Texas House Chair of the Transportation Committee, Terry Canales, will look at Texas specific transportation issues and the future ahead.

One panel will discuss railcar technology and another informative Q&A panel will be comprised of representatives of Union Pacific Railroad, BNSF Railway and the Texas Short Line and Regional Railroad Association,
