If a high-speed train is built between Houston and North Texas, more than 80 percent of residents would consider using it, according to a new survey released by L.E.K. Consulting.



However, the company working to build the high-speed rail, Texas Central, has been facing opposition from rural areas like Grimes County. Landowners there are fighting to keep their property and stop the train from rolling through it.

Tim Keith, CEO of Texas Central, spoke on a panel about the proposed high-speed rail at a transportation symposium at Texas A&M.
