(Editor's note: Texas Central previewed their train layout to attendees at the Southwestern Rail Conference on January 24, before this press release was issued).

Texas Central has unveiled the first look at the interior layout of the Texas High-Speed Train, kicking off Engineering Week by focusing on engineering comfort.

The Texas High-Speed Train cars feature two by two and two by one seating only with no middle seat. This design gives passengers nearly a foot more legroom than most coach airlines seats, helping ensure a comfortable ride for all riders. Other important features include wider aisles, improved lighting and audio and visual signals for train arrivals and departures.

The new layout features:

Wide aisles: 32 inches wider than a regional jet.
Ample space: 32 inches of legroom and 41-inch seat pitch (nearly a foot of total added space compared to flying first-class).
All seats recline, optimized to offer best recline without disturbing the passenger in rear.
