Last week, they rode Amtrak's Texas Eagle alongside city, state and Mexican officials to promote the creation of a rail line connecting Austin, San Antonio and Laredo to Monterrey, Mexico.

Imagine a world in which San Antonians wouldn't have to drive on I-35 to Austin. A world where travelers wouldn't have to take a bus or carpool to visit family or friends in Mexico.
In addition to rail experts, Nuevo León’s deputy secretary of economic development Emmanuel Loo and Nuevo León Governor Samuel García Sepúlveda attended to sign a letter of intent certifying the need for investment in expanding passenger rail in Texas.
