Texas Rail Advocates, in conjunction with the University of North Texas - Dallas School of Business, will present the first in a series of Academic Rail Symposiums February 27th at the Dallas campus.

The event, from 8:00am to 2:00pm, is free to all students from any university in the North Texas area but requires registration to attend. Students can register through this link: https://www.texasrailadvocates.org/events/46/unt-dallas-texas-rail-advocates-academic-rail-symposium

The event is designed to acquaint university students with trends and developments that make for a safer, more efficient, sustainable and reliable rail transportation system in the U.S. The February 27th symposium will focus on technology in the rail industry inclusive of both cargo and passenger movement.

Participants will hear from rail industry experts and be able to explore opportunities in aspects of passenger and freight rail transportation careers. 

The Academic Rail Symposium will be held in Founders Hall, Room 138 and will be limited to the first 85 students registered. Besides the day of speakers there will also be tables of vendors for students to interact with. Lunch will be included. The event is open to multiple universities in the North Texas area.
