Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern are now operating a new competitive domestic EMP service from the El Paso area to Atlanta, Jacksonville and Miami in the Southeast.
Originating at the UP’s Santa Teresa, NM terminal just across the Texas state line, the traffic will be routed over the high speed NS - UP interchange at Shreveport, LA. The 3 day per week service will operate Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday and provide a 4th AM service to Atlanta, GA, 4th PM service to Jacksonville, FL, and 6th AM service to Miami, FL. This new service offers customers an opportunity to realize the benefits of intermodal shipping from the El Paso and Mexican border regions to the Southeast.
